Who we are

LittleBookPath is a children's book discovery platform that helps parents find the right books for their children based on age, themes, and reading goals. We are based in Australia.

What information we collect

We collect the following information when you use LittleBookPath:

• Your email address and name (when you create an account)
• Child profile information you choose to add (name and age only)
• Books you save to your library and reading status
• Feedback you submit through our feedback form
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and interactions with the site (see Analytics section below)

How we use your information

We use your information solely to:

• Provide and personalise your experience on LittleBookPath
• Send account-related emails (e.g. sign-up confirmation)
• Improve the product based on feedback and usage patterns

We do not sell your data to any third party.

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how visitors use LittleBookPath. PostHog collects anonymised usage data including pages visited, features clicked, session duration, and general device and browser information. This helps us identify what's working well and where the product can improve.

PostHog does not use cookies. Data is stored in your browser's local storage and does not contain personally identifiable information. PostHog data is stored on servers in the United States. You can learn more about PostHog's data practices at posthog.com/privacy.

If you wish to opt out of analytics tracking, you can disable JavaScript in your browser or use a browser extension such as uBlock Origin.

Children's privacy

LittleBookPath is designed for use by parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Child profile information (name and age) entered by parents is used only to personalise book recommendations within the app.

Data storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS infrastructure. We use industry-standard security practices including row-level security and encrypted connections.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us. We will action all deletion requests within 30 days.
